CHOOSE MY PLAN

HELPFUL TIP:

There’s probably a good reason why your character chose their career. Think about how certain talents and skills, a dominant positive or negative trait, or even an emotional wound might have influenced this decision. And once they're on the job, don't forget about the many work-related conflict scenarios you can throw at them to create tension and add complications.
OVERVIEW:
Also known as buskers, street performers put their talents or skills on display in a public space. This might be a street corner, shopping mall, or subway station, to name just a few possibilities. Many street performers are musicians, but they may exhibit other talents, such as dancing, painting, sleight-of-hand, circus acts, poetry reading, or storytelling.

Depending on the location and circumstances (if they're hawking merchandise, for instance), some performers will have to obtain a permit to use the space, so take that into consideration if your character chooses to follow this career.

NECESSARY TRAINING:
No formal training or education is required to be a street performer. However, if they want to be successful, they should be trained accordingly in their area of expertise. A musician should have a strong repertoire, gymnasts should be able to perform impressive routines, and artists should be skilled in order to draw the attention of potential customers.
