HELPFUL TIP:

When planning a cast member's talents and skills, think about how genetics, personality traits (both positive attributes and flaws), past experiences, environment, and the character's roles (within a family, a community, and society) all factor into what strengths may form. These special qualities should tie into the story, not only to make the character interesting but also to help him achieve his goal.
DEFINITION:
Being able to come up with creative solutions to difficult or sensitive problems

DESCRIPTION:
Sometimes a cookie-cutter solution to a problem is not the right fit, perhaps because the situation is sensitive in nature or contains a lot of moving pieces. When there are restrictions on certain routes forward, out-of-the-box thinkers can find a way past obstacles that might just save the day…or the wallet, a reputation, or something else of value.

BENEFICIAL STRENGTHS OR ABILITIES:
Recognizing patterns
Understanding the scope of the problem in a way that others do not
Having a good understanding of the politics and stakes involved
Being skilled at seeing the largest obstacles or root problem
A mindset that likes to reverse-engineer, working backwards
Being a good judge of another's tolerance level (for risk, for courage, for violence, or whatever else may be a factor)
Being highly resourceful and connected
Being a subject matter expert in an area that is needed (or being a fast learner)
Having the ability to quickly prioritize
Being proactive and assessing risks quickly
Being detail-oriented
