HELPFUL TIP:

A deeply embedded fear often stems from trauma, so it can be helpful to explore emotional wounds that may be a factor. Your character might also become risk-averse, avoiding people and situations they associate with this fear. And for a character to achieve their story goal, they must overcome any fear-based thinking that's holding them back. The Character Builder is a great resource for pulling all these factors together.
NOTES:
Humiliation is similar to embarrassment, but it tends to have a public angle, occurring in front of others. The resulting unpleasant emotion is one your character will naturally want to avoid; experiencing it enough could create a fear for the character that causes them to go to great lengths to avoid potentially humiliating situations.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE:
Being easily embarrassed
Becoming tongue tied if put on the spot
The character overcompensating to prove their worth
Disassociating from people who have caused humiliation in the past
Avoiding people who witnessed a past humiliation
Being suspicious of certain people and their motives
Avoiding the limelight our of fear they'll do something stupid
Being reluctant to meet new people
Taking remarks out of context (assuming humiliation was intended when it wasn't)
Being overly cautious about not tripping, saying the wrong thing, etc.
Obsessing over the details, trying to plan everything out to avoid being surprised or have anything go wrong
Having to have a plan; being unable to 'wing it'
Declining social or work opportunities where a public mistake or failure is possible
Excessive worrying about making a blunder
Being hurt by teasing or having their past mistakes joked about
Finding it hard to speak up in a group as it could lead to being singled out and ridiculed
