Coupons

Why isn't my coupon code working?

There are a few reasons why the system may not be accepting your coupon code. Here's a troubleshooting checklist to help you determine why your coupon isn't working.

The code isn't being entered correctly. Our coupons are case-sensitive, so the case can be the culprit. Other times, a coupon is rejected because there's a space before or after the code. Be sure to enter the code exactly as it appears (with no rogue spaces). You'll often have the best luck if you copy and paste the code directly from the source.

The coupon is plan-specific. Many of our coupons can be used with any plan. But some coupons are plan-specific—meaning they can only be applied toward a certain subscription. For instance, if you're currently subscribed to the annual plan and you're trying to use a code that only works for the 6-month plan, the code won't be accepted. When a coupon is made available, either here at One Stop or at our Writers Helping Writers blog, details about it will be shared. Those details will tell you if the coupon is plan-specific or if it can be used toward any plan.

The coupon has expired.
  • If a code has an expiration date, it must be applied to your account prior to that date.
  • If you're subscribed to a plan when the coupon is added to your account, the discount will apply to your next invoice even if it's generated after the coupon's expiration date. However, if you're not subscribed when the coupon is added, it will only apply to an invoice prior to the expiration date. This means that if you add your coupon as a registered user (not a subscriber), you'll need to subscribe to a plan before the discount's expiration date for it to count toward your next invoice.
