HELPFUL TIP:

Conflict is your story’s secret sauce, supplying tension, friction, and complications to a character’s journey. It comes in a million different forms, so identify the obstacles and problems that will hit your character the hardest by using the Character Builder to uncover their primary insecurities, fears , and desires. Don’t forget to include everyday conflict scenarios that will frustrate them and keep the pressure high.
CATEGORY:
Increased pressure and ticking clocks, relationship friction, failures and mistakes, duty and responsibility, loss of control, ego-related conflict, dangers and threats

EXAMPLES:
The character getting lost in a busy urban area while trying to reach a destination
Getting lost in the wild, far from help
A child or vulnerable adult being separated from their caregiver
A tourist losing their tour guide or group
Fleeing to a safe rendezvous point but being unable to find it
Having to escape an area by a certain time and not being able to find the way out

MINOR COMPLICATIONS:
Being late for a meeting or appointment
Being stuck with someone who is needy, argumentative, verbose, or annoying in some way
The character's phone dying, taking their only map with it
Needing to be rescued 
Running into trouble for being in the wrong part of town
Needing to repeatedly stop and ask for directions
Anxiety or panic setting in, making it harder to think clearly
Looking foolish in front of others
Being blamed by one's companions
Getting caught out after curfew
Causing worry for others who are wondering where the character is
Having to care for others while leading the attempt to find the way
Taking frustrations out on others; yelling, insulting, or snapping at them
