MINOR COMPLICATIONS:
Poor visibility

Rushing to find children, pets, or others in the household
Indecision over whether to fight the fire or run, costing valuable seconds
Wasting time looking for a phone to call 911
Smoke damage (even if the fire was small and quickly contained)
A secondary condition that makes fighting the fire harder (living far from a fire department, extreme weather that creates a delay in response, explosive materials on-site, etc.)
Losing cherished items before the fire is contained
Injuries due to rushing (a fall on the stairs, bruises, scrapes, etc.)
Burns or blisters
